Those cornering speeds are mind-blasting.

Personally, I prefer to let my tail slide out, but to each his own.

That was their best looking car. This year’s car was ugly as hell.

Some day I want to try out a downforce car. The whole concept of “drive it slowly and you’ll crash and die” is super crazy.
In my sim experience, that first turn at Monza is completely flat in a downforce car. Any less and you run right off into the gravel.

I drove an R18 flat-out through Eau Rouge in Forza 6. It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done in a racing game.

I drove one once , and it was much more forgiving than you’d think. It’s more like a smooth step, where if you can switch your brain for a bit, you can take that corner flatout, but it’s really hard to imagine that you can. What I mean is you can go further than what you think physics will allow you.
Although that was in a light and “slow” car. I can totally see why driving an F1 car might be terrifying, with the tires loosing heat and all.
If you ever get the opportunity to drive one, go for it!
